KX65 How to rebuild an engine?

I have a 2003 KX65, the engine is blown, I know which parts to order but I'm not sure how the event, or divide them back together. I have the shop manual, I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but this is not rebuilt an engine before. Can divide the cases without a separator? What about the case back together? I know that the heat of the case and freeze the crankshaft and bearings. Someone else can guide me for that?
